Due to COVID-19 there has been many sectors of the community that have been affected by either job losses or needing extra staff. This website is to assist anybody that has potential staff that are looking for jobs or companies that are needing staff over this trying time.

New Zealand Security AssociationSecurity is an essential service and therefore we are seeking candidates from other industries who may be looking to help out in their local communities in this time of need. If you have staff who are needing work in this current climate please refer this email to them and ask them to send their responses to the careers@security.org.nz. Candidates must be aware that they will dealing face to face with the general public so we need those who are comfortable and confident doing this whilst also adhering to all safety precautions implemented by the government and their employer.

Do you want a career in the security industry?
Here at the NZ Security Association, we assist our security members by finding them suitable candidates to work within their organisations. They currently seek candidates for full time roles, who may already have security experience or those who are new to the industry. 

  • To work in the industry you need to be/have:
  • At least 18 years old
  • Able to work irregular hours (the industry runs 24/7)
  • Able to work alone
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Have a clean criminal record
  • A NZ Driver’s license is preferable as well as your own reliable transport
  • Comfortable and confident speaking to a diverse range of people
  • Good, clear written communication
*Candidates will also need to confirm that they have not been in physical contact with anyone who: is being tested or tested positive for, or is isolation due to the Covid-19 virus
 
At the NZSA we can help link you to our security members who are well known security companies in NZ and if you can secure full time, part-time or casual work with one of them we can also pay for your COA license including mandatory training.

Building Service Contractors of NZ inc (BSCNZ) is the trade association for the commercial cleaning industry.  Cleaning is one of the most important industries in the world, shouldering the responsibility of keeping our living and work environments clean, safe and hygienic.  In New Zealand the cleaning industry is worth more than $1 billion annually and employs nearly 30,000 people.

The situation New Zealand now finds itself in with COVID-19 means that cleaning public spaces is now more essential than ever.  Therefore BSCNZ are seeking candidates who may be looking to help out in their local communities in this time of need. The BSCNZ assist members struggling to source labour by finding them suitable, work ready candidates to employ.  BSCNZ members are able to offer full time (30+ hours) roles within the commercial cleaning sector to candidates who display the necessary attitude and skill set.

To work in the industry you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to work irregular hours
• Have reliable transport
• Be able to work alone or as part of a team
• Be able to stand for long period of time and undertake physically demanding work
• Have sufficient literacy to be able to understand written and verbal communication
It is preferred that you:
• Have a clean criminal record
• Have a drivers licence
• Have previous cleaning experience

BSCNZ can help to link potential candidates with a reputable commercial cleaning company and should you secure a role you will have the opportunity to undertake a level 2 cleaning qualification.
