About the organisation:

Dietitians Australia is the peak body for the dietetics profession, representing and supporting dietitians across the country. Through advocacy, education, professional development and member services, the organisation plays a critical role in advancing the profession and improving health outcomes for Australians.

As part of a strategic investment in future growth and sustainability, Dietitians Australia is establishing a brand-new Strategic Partnerships function and is seeking an experienced Strategic Partnerships Lead to build this capability from the ground up.

About the role:
As the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will be responsible for leading and growing Dietitians Australia's strategic partnerships function. This is a commercially focused role, responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities, developing high-value partnerships and building relationships across industry, health, education and commercial sectors.

Working closely with Executive Leaders and teams across the organisation, you will lead sponsorship and partnership initiatives that enhance member value, diversify income streams and support Dietitians Australia's future growth.

Dietitians Australia's head office is based in Canberra however, they are committed to finding the right person for the role and are open to candidates located anywhere across Australia.

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in partnerships and sponsorships ideally within an association, health, education, or not-for-profit environment.
  • Experience building and converting partnership pipelines, developing compelling propositions, negotiating agreements and securing commercial opportunities.
  • A strong track record developing strategic partnerships that deliver measurable value, including sponsorships for conferences, events, programs or initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, manage partnerships through the full lifecycle and drive successful outcomes.
  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and building strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead Dietitians Australia's strategic partnerships function, creating a scalable framework to support future growth.
  • Develop and execute the sponsorship strategy for the National Conference, including opportunity identification, partner engagement and commercial negotiations.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and develop partnership models that diversify income streams and enhance member value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, industry partners, education providers and key stakeholders.
  • Work with Executive Leaders and internal teams to identify opportunities where partnerships can strengthen programs, services and member offerings.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities, progressing opportunities from initial conversations through to signed agreements.
