Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst who thrives on improving business processes, engaging stakeholders and delivering meaningful digital transformation outcomes? AHRI is looking for a capable and collaborative Senior Business Analyst to support key strategic initiatives across our organisation.

The Australian HR Institute (AHRI) is the national association representing human resources and people management professionals. We set the standard for HR practice in Australia through certification, education, professional development, conferences, networking opportunities and recognition programs.

Reporting to the Manager, Digital & IT Strategy, this role will lead business analysis activities across key digital systems and transformation projects, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, process improvement, stakeholder engagement and project delivery support.

About the role
As Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business improvement, gather and document business and functional requirements, support project scoping and delivery, and support in design practical digital solutions that improve efficiency and member experience.

  • Lead business process analysis and identify opportunities for automation, integration and system improvement.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Develop process maps, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Support strategic project delivery through scoping, planning, risk management and schedule tracking.
  • Work closely with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to design scalable, fit-for-purpose digital solutions.
  • Support user acceptance testing, training and change adoption activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across AHRI’s digital systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Pages, member portal, learning management systems and integration platforms.
  • Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

About you
You are a confident and proactive Senior Business Analyst with strong digital project experience and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, practical and well-documented requirements. You build trusted relationships, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and enjoy working across multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
  • Proven experience delivering digital projects from planning and scoping through to implementation.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, with working knowledge of Power Automate, Data models, UX and D365’s customisation capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, gather requirements and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience developing high-quality business analysis artefacts such as process maps, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile delivery framework.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, with experience using tools such as Power BI highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations and low-code automation platforms.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, IT, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, AgileBA, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform will be highly regarded.
