About the Company

Revise Recruitment has partnered with Exemplar Global to recruit an Accounts Officer.

Exemplar Global is an internationally recognised not-for-profit organisation specialising in professional certification for auditors, technical professionals and training providers. With over 30 years of experience, the organisation supports professionals across more than 100 countries, specialising in areas such as quality management, food safety, environmental management and workplace health and safety.

You'll join a small, established Australian team of 10 employees, with another team based in the United States. With long-serving employees and a welcoming, supportive culture, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working remotely while being part of an experienced team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you'll join a finance team of four, taking responsibility for bank reconciliations, cash management and accounts payable across the Australian and US operations.

You'll manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records and contribute to regular financial reporting and month-end processes. You'll also provide support across other accounting functions, including when your colleagues are on leave.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge and the ability to manage competing priorities. Working remotely, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation while taking responsibility for delivering accurate and timely financial information.

Working hours are flexible, with 37.5 hours per week worked between 7 am and 7 pm. Due to the Australian and US operations, you’ll also need to be available for an all-company meeting every six weeks, which may start at 7 am or 8 am.

About the Person

You're a reliable, proactive accounts professional with hands-on experience in accounts payable and bank reconciliations. You enjoy working with numbers, take pride in accuracy and are comfortable managing your own workload.

Organised and adaptable, you'll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Excel capabilities and confidence working across different accounting systems and learning new technology.

You'll communicate openly and be comfortable asking questions when needed. Working remotely, you'll manage deadlines independently while bringing a positive attitude, initiative and a willingness to support your colleagues.

Duties
  • Reconcile the Australian and US bank accounts
  • Monitor bank transactions and balances, prepare bank balance and cashflow reporting
  • Process and pay supplier invoices and manage supplier accounts
  • Receipt customer payments and prepare cash receipt and disbursement journals
  • Respond to customer and supplier payment enquiries
  • Assist with month-end, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Process corporate credit card statements
  • Support the annual audit
Skills & Experience
  • A qualification in accounting or finance, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Solid experience in AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • A track record of meeting deadlines and working independently
  • Confidence working across multiple systems
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics is a bonus, but not essential
If you're looking for a varied accounts role where you can work independently, enjoy genuine flexibility and be part of a supportive international team, we'd love to hear from you. APPLY NOW.

Please note you’ll need to be based in Greater Sydney and able to travel to the CBD for quarterly team meetings.
