About the role
Community Work Australia is seeking a highly organised Assessment Support Officer to provide high-level administrative support to a busy assessment service. You'll be a key contact for assessment applicants and other stakeholders, helping guide them through processes while maintaining exceptional service standards. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with skills assessment applicants, agents, CWA members, and other stakeholders by phone and email.
- Respond to general and assessment enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Support general assessment administration such as priority requests, withdrawals and refunds.
- Update and maintain applicant and other stakeholder records and databases.
- Undertake thorough document checking of assessment application documents.
- Engage with management in identifying and addressing opportunities for continuously improving the day-to-day functioning assessment services.
- Monitor and improve website content and resources to ensure information is relevant, up-to-date and easily understood.
- Support the Manager of Assessment Services with data reporting, compliance activities, and ad-hoc project support.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in administrative roles with customer engagement.
- A relevant qualification in business administration or a related field (desirable).
- Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused and proactive, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive experience.
- Quick to learn and adaptable, able to navigate change and pick up new systems or processes efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of professionalism and interpersonal ability.
- Knowledge of or experience in intercultural communication or with CALD communities.
- Team-oriented but capable of working independently, showing initiative and ownership of tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using databases or cloud-based tools.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (desirable).
