About the Role
 Reporting to the Head of Policy & Government Relations, you'll lead Consult Australia's presence across Western Australia, representing the organisation across government, industry and the membership.
  
You'll build influential relationships, drive advocacy that shapes policy, strengthen member engagement and deliver initiatives that raise Consult Australia's profile and influence across the state.
  
From facilitating industry committees to delivering events and identifying membership growth opportunities, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing the organisation's strategic priorities in Western Australia.
  
About the Person
 You may have built your career within consulting, engineering, infrastructure, government, advocacy, policy or a membership organisation. You'll be a confident relationship builder who enjoys influencing outcomes, engaging senior stakeholders and representing an organisation with professionalism and credibility.
  
You'll be commercially aware, politically astute and comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with a national team. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about building relationships, creating value for members and making a positive impact on the consulting industry.
  
Duties
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with members, government agencies, industry leaders and key stakeholders
  • Lead advocacy initiatives and contribute to policy development, consultation and submissions
  • Represent Consult Australia at industry forums, government meetings, networking functions and events
  • Facilitate state committee meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and stakeholder follow-up
  • Drive member engagement, retention and new membership opportunities across Western Australia
  • Identify, coordinate and host industry events, securing high-quality speakers and delivering exceptional member experiences
  • Promote Consult Australia's advocacy, initiatives and events through local communications and social media
Skills/Experience
 To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, advocacy or member engagement
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, submissions or briefing papers
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously
  • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
