Women in Association Leadership #WIAL - Sydney
AuSAE are proud to bring back Women in Association Leadership #WIAL for 2019. The networking series provides a platform to showcase and celebrate women in leadership who have led the way.
With no other event like this for our association leaders in the marketplace, we are delighted to bring like-minded leaders together to build support networks and develop professional and personal skills.
The theme for the 2019 Event series is Diversity beyond Gender - Building Inclusive Organisations.
AuSAE welcomes International Keynote Speaker Dr Elizabeth Shoesmith, Founder and CEO of the Inclusion Foundation.
Elizabeth is on a personal mission to create a world where everyone is included and valued for their differences.
Building an inclusive organisation isn't just beneficial; it's a major factor of success in the modern business landscape. Organisations that seek, celebrate, and embrace diversity will have several very real advantages over their competitors. In order to benefit from the advantages of diversity, your organisation needs to embrace truly inclusive practices and behaviours as part of business-as-usual operations.
Through sharing her personal story Dr Elizabeth Shoesmith will present a keynote that will;
- Throw away the labels
- Highlight exclusion in ways you may not have considered before
- Uncover practical principles for inclusion within an organisation
- Identify real actions to create inclusion
Keynote Speaker
Dr Elizabeth Shoesmith, Founder and CEO, Inclusion Foundation
After indirectly experiencing the exclusion and discrimination of her husband, who is profoundly Deaf, Elizabeth committed her career to inclusion. In fact you may even recall her viral wedding video, which has amassed over 400-million views, of her using sign language to sing the song ‘1000 years’ to her husband before walking down the aisle in 2018.
As founder and CEO of The Inclusive Organisation Group of companies she combines her 20+ years of expertise in organisational transformation for Asia Pacific’s most notable organisations, a PhD in organisational culture and behaviour, and passion for inclusion. She has set the global benchmark for business-as-usual inclusion. Her innovative, yet pragmatic, approach is creating a global movement of change through the organisations, governments, and institutions we all interact with on a daily basis. This was even recognised at The Stevie Awards in New York City in 2018.
Grab your colleagues, best friend or boss (male and female) and come along to #WIAL and see what we can achieve when we all come together.
