Professionals are welcome to register for the full day (including both the AM: Health & Safety for Associations and PM: Event Management - Delivering the Promise) or register for the AM or PM session only. Please find information on both Workshops below.     

   

Morning Session: Health & Safety for Associations

On the 4th of April 2016 the Government implemented new legislation with an aim of reducing New Zealand's injury and death figures by 25% by 2020.

This workshop will cover  key changes within the new act and what you and your business needs to do to ensure you are meeting your obligations.

Afternoon Session: Event Management - Delivering the Promise

Events don’t just happen - Organising and holding an event takes a significant amount of planning. Whether it’s a conference, workshop or a member networking function, and whether you have three weeks to plan or an entire year, your event’s success is all in the details. 


This workshop focuses on providing delegates with practical tips, information and tools you can implement immediately to increase revenue and generate outcomes for your stakeholders.

 

Attend this workshop to:

  • Maximise resources to ensure better yield for this important member sector benefit
  • Further understand the meeting and conference market
  • Develop better knowledge of tools to ensure delegate/member and supplier needs are met. 


Presenter: AM - Andrew ConfaitGeneral Manager of Membership and Policy at Site Safe New Zealand

 Andrew Confait has spent more than twenty years working in health and safety industry in both Australia and New Zealand.

 

Passionate about communicating an ethos of safety by education and example, he has held a number of senior roles including ten years as national health and safety manager at Hawkins overseeing health and safety projects across construction, civil/infrastructure and engineering/manufacturing sectors.

 

Andrew is currently the General Manager of Membership and Policy at Site Safe New Zealand and is committed to helping construction businesses improve their health and safety culture. 


Presenter: PM - Brett Jeffery General Manager of AuSAE New Zealand

Brett is a long term AuSAE member having served on the AuSAE board and now General Manager.


He has had over twenty years’ experience working alongside association and other non-profits in his numerous New Zealand tourism and hospitality roles, including Sales and Marketing Manager at Rotorua Events and Venues.


Brett is passionate about ensuring not-for-profit leaders receive opportunities to network and further their careers.
