We invite you to take a couple of hours out of your day to connect with others in the industry to discuss high level topics of real importance, develop new relationships and gain critical information. This is a rare opportunity to network with other CEOs and senior management professionals from charities, associations and other non-profit organisations. Ample opportunity will be given for you to discuss issues and network with others.

The Topic

Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa (LIANZA) has run its Children’s Book Awards since 1947 making them the oldest Awards in New Zealand. In 2013, due to declining publicity and increasing costs LIANZA made the decision to end the awards unless a sponsor could be found. The awards are now in their second year of a five year partnership with Hell Pizza and are going from strength to strength. 

Attend AuSAE’s Networking Lunch to hear the exciting yet unconventional partnership LIANZA has embarked on. Attending this AuSAE event is also a great opportunity to connect with leaders from associations, charities and other not-for-profits to discuss current workplace challenges and other issues of importance.

The Speaker

Joanna Matthew is the Executive Director of the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa (www.lianza.org.nz). Joanna has worked in the Library and Information sector for the past two years and brings a wealth of experience from her not-for-profit background. Passionate about the role that libraries play in New Zealand society, Joanna highly motivated to be able to contribute to the sector through her work. Joanna has a BA in Psychology, and an MBA Executive (Distinction).
